Wheat futures were 4 to 6 cents lower in the CBT and MPLS contracts, with KC down 9 to 11 cents. Export Inspections of all wheat during the week that ended March 22 were 278,815 MTs. That was 41.49% lower than the week prior and 49% behind this week in 2017. Individual state ratings tonight show winter wheat conditions in the Southern Plains improving during the reporting week that ended Sunday. Ratings in KS were up 10 to 250 on the Brugler500 index, as gd/ex ratings were up 2 to 13%. TX improved 3 to 13% with OK up 4 to 9% gd/ex. The average trade guess for Other Spring wheat acres this Thursday is 11.5 million, according to a Bloomberg report. Iraq purchased 100,000 MT of wheat, with 50,000 MT sourced from the US and Australia.

May 18 CBOT Wheat closed at $4.54 1/4, down 6 cents,

May 18 KCBT Wheat closed at $4.68 1/4, down 11 cents,

May 18 MGEX Wheat closed at $5.97 1/4, down 5 1/2 cents
